Eventful Birthday

This week is my Birthday. It has been a memorable day and a memorable weekend. Here is what has happened in our life this weekend.

First we enjoyed a fascinating field trip with our homeschool group to a water reclamation facility. It was interesting to see all that Singapore is doing to limit flooding and to provide clean water to a growing population.

Our afternoon ended abruptly when Aaron hit his head on a granite wall at full speed. We rushed to the hospital and he received two layers of stitches.

Thankfully Aaron is doing well and a big Thank you to those of you who helped us that day. Aaron now has the distinction of being the only child in our family to receive stitches.

Later Alan and I went out to dinner to celebrate my birthday. We enjoyed dinner at a restaurant named the Jewel Box. It was a collection of 6 different little restaurants each named after a jewel. We ate in the Sapphire and enjoyed an incredible view of the Singapore skyline.

After dinner we road a cable car from the restaurant to Sentosa Island. It was amazing and a little frightening to be up so high.

  2. Happy Birthday. So sorry about Aaron. I'm impressed he is only have one child with stitches. Didn't it seem like someone was always going to the hospital with stitches in our family? I'm glad you could do some fun things for today. Love you.
